AHH! Summer is almost done with! God bless whoever invented the air conditioner. I am positively melting. Well I have purchased some summer/fall friendly cosmetics, some from department stores, others from drugstores. When I do hauls so few and far between I mean business! I have accumulated a few things from the last beauty haul so lets get right to it! Take a look below to see what I’m talkin’ about!

AL FIN! Luego de tanto tiempo les escribo, y de que mejor cosa que escribir que de productos de belleza! Ya estamos a finales de la época de verano, y con ella, continúan las temperaturas asfixiantes de calor; quien sea que se invento el aire acondicionado que Dios lo bendiga! He conseguido varios cosméticos en las tiendas, y otros de farmacia para el verano (y otoño) con el calor y todo lo demás en mente. Miren lo que conseguí abajo.

-Apparently I had an eyeliner obsession. I bought a lot and in different colors. I also got a basic black liquid eyeliner from Smashbox to do the infamous cat eye but that takes time and practice. Strangely enough, the drug store bought eyeliners are my favorite! They’re ver pigmented and fun and every time I wear themsomebody asks me where I got them. I proudly say Walgreens, or CVS, or even better in my LOCAL pharmacy that’s filled with a magnificent display of Elf Cosmetics!. Now my MAC eyeliner, the one that was sold out in my local mac store and I found while traveling in Curacao (of all places) was a disappointment. I literally have to draw my eye several times to se a glimpse of the beautiful citron color. Such a hassle, and it feels like I’m hurting my eyes. Meh!

-Aparentemente estoy obsesionada con los delineadores de ojos. Compré multiples y en diferentes colores. Compré uno líquido de Smashbox para hacerme el famosocat eye, pero eso toma tiempo y préctica y de lo primero me falta y para lo segundo necesito de lo primero! De todos los delineadores que compré los de farmacia son mis favoritos, por su pigmentación. Cada vez que salgo con ellos puestos alguien me pregunta que dónde los compré y orgullosamente le digo en CVS, o en Walgreens, o mejor aún en mi farmacia de comunidad (apoyemos lo LOCAL). Hace un tiempo andaba buscando un delineador MAC que estaba ya sold out en mi tienda MAC local y curiosamente lo encontré mientras estaba de viaje en Curacao. El color se llama Citron y es como un amarillo verdoso perfecto para el verano. Lo probé en la tienda y todo excelente, llegue a casa y que decepción! Tengo que aplicarlo varias veces para ver una leve sombra de lo que es el color, lo cual pienso que es demasiado trabajo.

But by far my greatest find was two Wet n’ Wild eyeliners that were 99 cents each! The colors are perfect for fall and have a little shimmer to them.

Y lo mejor de todo fueron estos delineadores perfectos para otoño en los colores en tendencia, verde militar y un tono dorado, divino y SUPER económicos (a 99 centavos cada uno).

-Now for my piéce de résistance “Too Faced Love Palette” eyeshadow collection. I had being eyeing it for a while and then my other Too Faced palette (The Return of sexy) BROKE (THE HORROR!),so I had the perfect excuse for getting a new one. I know I know, everyone’s all about the matte eyeshadow these days but I can’t help myself I loooove these, seriously. It has the perfect transition colors from summer to fall.

-Vayamos directo a mi producto favorito que encontré; la paleta de sombras “Love’‘, de Too Faced Cosmetics. Ya la venía queriendo por un tiempo y mi otra paleta (“The Return of Sexy”) se me rompió así que tuve excusa para comprarla. Ya sé que la tendencia es usar sombras matte pero me encantan estas aunque sean brillosas! Los colores son perfectos para la transición de la temporada de verano a otoño.

Cargo Cosmetics essential Palette in Dark Neutral

-This palette is best described by its name; ESSENTIAL. Everyone should have this in their makeup bag it is so versatile, wearable and easy to use. This is like the holy grail of eyeshadow palettes, its mostly sold out but if you find it get it, and like me, use it; over and over again, you’ll love it.

-Ok de esta paleta tengo que decirles que la necesitan. Un MUST en toda cartera de cosméticos, muy versátil y súper fácil de usar. Los colores son perfectos para el diario y la paleta te dice exactamente en que parte del ojo va cada color. Buenísima para viajar, es un resuelve.

Cargo Cosmetics SwimMable Water Resistant Bronzer
-I’ve been using the same bronzer for year now (Guerlain’s Terracota Bronzing Powder) & I have to say this one replaced it. Its shimmery, super pigmented and gives your skin a nice glow.

-Llevo utilizando el mismo bronzer por muchísimos años, y debo decir que lo he reemplazado con este. Me gusta mucho porque es súper pigmentado y le dá un brillo natural al rostro.

Prada Amber Eau de Parfum

-I am not one to share my perfume, because I like to think everyones scent is unique. But this is a constant scent in my life, I used it all through law school, then stopped for like 5 years and then I bought it again. It smell delicious.

-Usualmente no me gusta decir cual es mi perfume cuando me preguntan por que pienso que el olor de cada persona debe ser único. Este perfume lo he usado por mucho tiempo. Lo usé mientras estudiaba derecho y luego paré de usarlo como por 5 años, y ahora lo volví a usar. Huele riquísimo tiene mucho fijador y me dura el día entero.

Milani Baked Blush in “Dolce Pink” & “Corallina”

-BEST.PINK.BLUSH.EVER! The best $10 I have ever spent. This color is out of this world, but beware it is highly pigmented, so very little applying is needed. Now, the “Corallina” shade was a complete let down. I mean, it doesn’t even show in my skin! Don’t even bother with this one.

-El mejor blush rosado EVER! Los mejores diez dólares que he pagado por un producto de belleza en mi vida! El color es increíble, pero OJO; es bien pigmentado así que no necesitan aplicarse mucho producto. Como digo lo bueno de uno, digo lo malo del otro. El mismo blush en el tono “Corallina” fue una decepción TOTAL. En mi tono de piel no pigmenta para nada, ni se me ve. El color ni se parece al coral, no pierdan su tiempo con este.

Lorac Oil Free Face Luminizer & MAC Cosmetics Prep + Prime Skin Base Visage

-I paired these too together in the pic because I use them together. They were both gifts from my mom (who I frankly think has the best makeup products and doesn’t even know it). The Lorac luminizer is sold out, everywhere! God knows from what year it is, but my mom gave it to me because she never uses it. I mixed it with my foundation and my skin was dewy and glowy a lá J Lo style. MAC’S Skin base visage is a primer that literally leaves your skin glistening, I felt like a was full of sparkles in my face (in a good way). Use this two together; first apply the primer and then mix in your foundation the luminizer, and you’ll be fabulous! Trust me.

-Puse estos productos juntos por que así es que los uso. Ambos fueron regalos de mi madre; el iluminador me lo dió, por que si lo usó, una vez fue mucho (no tiene ni idea que este producto esta sold out hace años y es de lo mejores iluminadores EVER) . El primer de MAC es espectacular, te deja el rostro súper brilloso e iluminado como si tu vieras pequeños destellos de luz en el mismo. Para usarlos, primero aplico el primer y luego mezclo el iluminador con mi base antes de aplicármela. El resultado es otra cosa!

-Currently, these are my three favorite lipstick shades. I’ve been alternating them non stop. Maybelline’s  “mesmerizing magenta” has a pink/fuchsia tone that I had never seen before, its beautiful and I don’t have any other lipstick that has that shade. Their creamy matte lipstick collection’s great because you get the matte look without the dry lips, and they smell good!

The two other lipsticks (Anastasia’s “Veronica” & Kat Von D’s “L.U.V.”) start out with a liquid and shiny texture and as they dry they become matte. What I don’t love about them is the applicator, is kinda like a lipgloss which can get messy and these lippies are long lasting and stain immediately when applied. I used them all day they lasted on my lips, when they do start to fade it kinda looks like I have lip liner on which means its time to reapply. Both are pigmented, L.U.V. reminds me a little of MAC’s Heroine lipstick & “Veronica” I would say is a soft rose/nude shade (think of a rosier, creamier and gray-er version of MAC lipstick “Velvet Teddy”).

-Ahora mismo, estos son mis labiales favoritos. Los alterno entre uno y otro a diario! El “Mesmerizing Magenta” de Maybelline es un tono rosado/fuchsia que no había visto antes, muy distinto a cualquier otro labial que tengo en mi bolsa de cosméticos. Es precioso y parte de la colección Creamy Matte, que te deja los labios con el look matte pero se sienten hidratados al mismo tiempo.

Los dos otros labiales; “Veronica” de Anastasia,  y “L.U.V.” de Kat Von D, son al principio líquidos y luego al secarse en los labios la textura es matte. Lo que no me encanta es que el aplicador es tipo “lipgloss'”, y una vez lo aplicas (que no siempre me queda perfecto) como son labiales de larga duración se queda la mancha en los labios. Los colores de ambos sun super pigmentados el “L.U.V.” se me parece un poco al labial de MAC “Heroine’ (pero en un tono mucho más subido) y el “Veronica” diría que es un tono parecido al famoso ‘Velvet Teddy’ de MAC pero más gris.

Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Milk Hand Creme

-Forget the hands, I apply this all over. The smell of this lotion is out of this world, even my boyfriend complimented me on it, and trsut me I use lotion every day so for this one to stand out (or for him to notice) its because its that good. Creamy, moisturizing, and its smells divine, everything you want from a lotion

-Olviden de que dice que es crema para las manos, yo la uso en todo el cuerpo. Yo he uso crema a diario y mucha diferentes y esta es la única que mi novio me ha dicho que le encanta como huele. Es cremosa, humectante y el olor es divino; es todo lo que se puede esperar de una crema.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel in “Granite”

-I have NEVER I *repeat* NEVER applied any makeup to my eyebrows. I thought it was about time to start giving my brows some TLC. This is great for beginners because its very easy to apply. Its like a mascara wand so you just brush your brows (gently) and voila. It keeps my brows in place and coiffed.

-NUNCA repito, NUNCA antes había usado nada para maquillarme mis cejas, y entones pensé ya era tiempo de darles un poco de cariño. Este producto es buenísimo para aquellas que, como yo, son principiantes en cuanto a maquillarse las cejas. Te la aplicas como si fuera una mascara, y te deja las cejas luciendo peinadas y en su sitio.

-MAC’s “Stone” lipstick has a matte finish and every time I wear I feeling like I’m the coolest chick on earth. Its the perfect greige shade. I love it I can’t get enough of it. These two lippies are perfect for fall and I anticipate I’ll be using them on the daily.

-El labial de MAC “Stone” es de acabado matte y es el labial perfecto por que su tono es una mezcla de color carne con gris. A mi me fascina. Anticipo que usaré estos dos labiales diariamente una vez que llegue la temporada de otoño

Philosophy Purity Made Simple one step facial cleanser

-I feel it is always good to change facial cleansers because your face gets accustomed to using the same product every day and it kind a leaves your face looking blah! So I alternate between this and two other cleansers. This feels nice and it refreshes while cleansing my face of impurities.

-Siento que la cara se acostumbra cuando usamos siempre un mismo producto para limpiarla y esto hace que perdamos el lustre natural de nuestra piel. Me gusta usar diferentes jabones limpiadores para mi cara y este es uno de ellos. Es suave, y refresca mi rostro a la misma vez que lo limpia de todas las impurezas.
