At the beggining of every year, Pantone (the authority on forecasting color trends) announces its “color of the year”. For 2015, they declared “Marsala” the color of the year. Marsala is “naturally robust & earthy wine red; it enriches our mind, body & soul, exuding confidence & stability. Marsala is a subtly seductive shade, one that drwar us in to its embracing warmth. Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness. This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors”. This is the actual description of the color by Pantone. So I guess I’m in love with Marsala? Or I will be entranced by it apparently? Defenitely, according to that description! Marsala can vary from a soft mauve, pink-ish tone to a dark cherry red. Below you’ll see some pics of outfits, and things in Marsala, and how to rock this color. Do you like marsala?
