Oh I can not wait for spring break! I just wanna lay out in the sun, tan with a drink that has a colorful umbrella! I miss the feeling of sand in my toes and I’m unusually pale (yikes!). Spring can’t come soon enough! Anyhow, many of you have planned fabulous trips for this upcoming Spring Break, and of course, you want to wear the latest trends in fashion when vacationing. What to wear?! It all depends on what type of trip you’re making. So I came up with a list to categorize what outfits to wear where.
If you’re going:
1.“Glamping”/camping/music festival/road trip
Think relaxed not complicated, easy cool boho chic style, fringe leather and quirky unique accessories.
3.Hamptons/ Nantucket (somewhere that’s not that hot yet)
I’ve gathered some pieces and outfits to wear when going to either: 1.(glamping/music fest), 2. (tropical/beach getaway) or 3. (hamptons/natucket etc), and I’ll refer to them below as 1, 2, and 3 so be advised.
Since it’s spring break and not full out summer fun hotness, try a one piece swimsuit. Not your mom’s traditional one piece bathing suit, be daring! Try cutouts, mesh and sexy fringe in your one piece bathing suit. You can also use your one piece bathing suit as a part of your outfit. Just wear some cutoff shorts and voila, you are musical festival ready, and if it rains or there’s a pool nearby you’ll be ready for that too.
Rompers, jumpers playsuits, jumpsuits (or however you chose to call them) are very on trend for the whole year. You’ll see below lots of different options, from casual ones to dressier ones.
Also hot for spring? Kimono jackets. They’re so cute and functional. You can wear them with jeans (short or long) and a shirt or as a swimsuit coverup.
When packing you have to be aware of the functionality of the pieces you pack. Like, for example: using the same bottoms with different shirts to dress up or dress down. Also, adding accessories to any outfit can change your whole look and transition the outfit from day to night. I’m a big fan of wearing shorts with wedged heels at night on vacation. It’s tropical/casual, but yet you’ll look very put together, with some hoop earrings and a bright lipstick. Wear that same outfit with flip flops or slip on sneakers, & sunglasses, and you just reversed your outfit from nighttime to day wear. When I pack I always bring an extra white and a black t-shirt to mix and match, some ripped jeans and a jean jacket to dress up or down any outfit (or if it gets chilly at night). Also, pack a denim button down shirt because, well it just goes with everything! Below you’ll see some outfits & pieces I’ve put together that have the transition ability( or that I just love them) and versatility to take you from day to night (its all in how you style and accessorize it!) or vice versa! You’ll also see the links below the pics for info on where to purchase the items. Have fun when on vacation, mix and match outfits, patterns and colors.
